Open Day with HSCIC
As the highlight of the HSCIC Digital Leaders Programme, the Health and Social Care Information centre will be welcoming the CIO and CCIO Networks to an open day on 2 February 2016, in Leeds.
I will be hosting this event along with my senior management team. The objective of the event is to provide you with an excellent opportunity to shape the thinking of the HSCIC teams responsible for running the major national systems, standards setting and national analytics processes on your behalf.
The theme of the day is co-design and co-delivery: How can national and local organisations work together to more effectively harness the full power of information and technology? What should be delivered locally and what centrally? The focus of this event is therefore to ensure that CIO and CCIO views are brought centre stage to shape HSCIC’s service delivery, and consolidate the connections between HSCIC, CIOs and CCIOs as we all play our part in delivering the objectives of the National Information Board strategy. To that end we will also be joined on the day by senior representatives from the Department of Health and NHS England.
As well as focused workshops on the development plans for the Spine, Summary Care Record, e-Referrals, HSCN and NHSmail and many of its other services, we will also be showcasing some of our latest innovations. This will include a live ‘Connectathon’ where industry partners will be integrating with HSCIC national systems in real time.
The event itself will run from 10am to 4pm on 2 February. For anyone arriving in Leeds the night before, there will be a further networking opportunity with a drinks reception being hosted by Digital Health on the evening of Monday 1 February at 6pm, followed by an informal dinner.
