Kanteron Systems is to enable the NHS to access its Translational Medical Information Server (TMIS); a platform that integrates genomics data, digital pathology, radiology, biosensors and analytics to give clinicians and researchers access to a wealth of personalised medical information at the point of care.

This will be done under the custodianship of an NHS, clinically led, OpenPACS Code4Health community, which will allow the NHS and higher education institutions to develop new software components (known as plug-ins) to enhance the platform’s functionality.

Kanteron, working with selected technology partners Microsoft, Hitachi and IBM, will then offer additional services, such as consulting, implementation, integration, data migration and tech support, to ensure the adoption of new clinical workflows.
