The GM CHC seeks an experienced and enthusiastic Head of Information to oversee the establishment and ongoing management of pseudonymised healthcare datasets to ensure effective delivery of this innovative multimillion pound project. The Head of Information will be responsible for the receipt, curation and trusted sharing of healthcare data from NHS partners and other sources. Contribution to the digital implementation of research results to maximise impact on health and wellbeing of the population is also expected.
You will report to the Director, will work alongside the Director, Medical Director, and Head of Operations, will line manage an Operations Manager for the secure data analysis facility (Trustworthy Research Environment – TRE) and several data managers, will coordinate with the Head of Education and the Patient and Public Involvement Manager, and will liaise with a wide range of data custodians, infrastructure providers, information and research governance experts, industry partners and academic researchers.
You will be educated to degree level or equivalent in an area relevant to health informatics; have significant experience of information management in health and social care, including knowledge of work flow in a broad range of health and social care settings; have demonstrable project management experience on medium to large-scale projects; Critical to success in the role the ideal candidate must have a clear understanding and prior oversight of information governance standards and processes.
