Faced with the complexity of more than 50 interconnected IT systems, the innovative Schützen Rheinfelden Clinic turned this challenge into an opportunity. Under the leadership of IT director Matthias Meyer, the clinic chose Enovacom Integration Engine, the interoperability platform that redefines data management and significantly improves operational efficiency.

The clinic’s “hospital-in-a-hotel” concept provides high-quality therapeutic care with four-star hotel hospitality. It required a robust solution that would connect different systems used in healthcare, logistics, billing and hospitality.

Enovacom’s platform was implemented over a six-week pilot project period. It soon proved itself to be a reliable, scalable link between the clinic’s heterogenous system and quality care. Some of the most impressive efficiency gains have been in automating scheduling for thousands of patients each week. “We save about 400 hours a year,” says Meyer. “This has given us some time for high-quality planning instead of toiling away at menial tasks.”

He particularly appreciates the platform’s robustness and reliability. “Once the engine has been implemented correctly you don’t have to worry about it anymore – it just keeps running. It’s extremely rare that we need support, unlike our previous system where we were calling support all the time.”
