Croydon Health Services NHS Trust has deployed VitalPAC from The Learning Clinic to make sure that its nurses take patient observations on time and in full.
Since its introduction, observations taken on time have increased from under 60% to over 85% – with those taken at night increasing from 40% to 100%. In addition, more than 99% of observations now include a full set of vital signs, making the hospital safer for patients.
This case study outlines the problem Croydon looked to solve, the solution and the results; which have led Charles Soper, a consultant physician at Croydon to conclude that “there is great potential for scaleability and sustained improvement using VitalPAC.”
