The latest research on how to avoid the pitfalls of complex passwords and small screens/keyboards
If the NHS is to evolve to successfully, meet the needs of the population, and harness technology as laid out in the new 10-year plan, finding a way to use mobile that is efficient and secure will be paramount.
The Darzi report noted that there is a strong perception among NHS staff that IT creates an additional burden. While the use of mobile technology, particularly shared mobile devices, brings potential benefits and cost-savings, many Trusts are still struggling to integrate mobile into clinical workflows to ensure they are optimised for both security and efficiency.
Mobile provides potential but we’re not there yet
This session will include newly published findings from The 2025 Imprivata State of Shared Mobile Devices in Healthcare Report: Insights, Risks and Solution. This is a major international study on the usage of mobile devices in healthcare, which together with previous research by Dr. George Gellert MD, MPH, MPA, The Love-Hate State of Mobile Device Management in Healthcare, builds on Imprivata’s track record for commissioning original research into the practical aspects of successfully deploying mobile technology into a clinical setting.
Streamlined, passwordless access
Integrated access management solutions, such as Imprivata Enterprise Access Management, provides a suite of products like single sign-on and passwordless authentication to help provide fast, secure access to patient information at the point of care.
Improve access, reduce stress
Our panellists discuss how such tools can be utilised to provide efficient and frictionless workflow that not only gives time back to clinicians so that they can focus more on their patients, write up notes or increase the chances of going for a break. They can also reduce the stress and irritation associated with using IT, making it almost invisible and leading to an improved experience for clinician and patient alike.
