Nik Barnes is an experienced paediatric radiologist and has been a consultant since 2003. Nik was Clinical Lead for IM&T/CCIO at Alder Hey Children’s hospital for 10 years and his passion throughout his career has been to use innovation and the application of technology to improve healthcare for patients, relatives and the clinicians that deliver it.  Nik’s experience as both Clinical Lead for IT and CCIO at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital has given him an in-depth understanding of the significant issues clinician’s face when adopting software in clinical practice and how such problems might be overcome.
