The most ambitious NHS plan in a generation places the nursing community at the heart of major transformation change. But this simply won’t be possible without digital and data tools becoming part of the fabric of nurses’ daily working lives.  

The promise of AI trusted assistants, accessible digital single patient records, and mobile tools for the shift to neighbourhood care risks being hollow rhetoric without sustained investment in workforce, infrastructure and clinical governance.
