InterSystems, the healthcare software specialist, has acquired Italian implementation company, Prosa.

The company has been a partner of InterSystems for 15 years providing a wide range of implementation and support services across healthcare organisations in Italy, particularly in the regions of Emilia, Romagna and Veneto.

Jean-Pierre Giannetti, InterSystems’ country manager for Italy, said: “InterSystems is absolutely committed to providing the highest levels of service and support to its customers in the Italian market.

“Building on our close and highly successful association with Prosa, which extends over 15 years, we felt that it was the appropriate time to expand our direct relationship with the healthcare providers that are using InterSystems’ advanced software technologies.”

The company said that the deal will ensure that customers, including major hospitals such as Vimercate Hospital near Milan, can realize maximum benefits from its latest healthcare software advances.

Prosa said that that Intersystem’s decision to strengthen its direct relationship with Italian healthcare customers was the next logical step to ensure the highest customer satisfaction.

“Massimo Rocchi, chief executive of Prosa, said: “The team from Prosa will bring new depth to InterSystems’ expertise in local implementation, project management and maintenance of critical hospital systems. The results for healthcare end-user organizations will be extremely significant and highly positive.”
