Digital Health Unplugged’s June news team debrief is now live, focusing on the National Audit Office’s (NAO) report into the state of digital services across the NHS in England.

The report found local NHS organisations are facing “significant challenges” when it comes to working towards digital transformation.

It looks at the state of digital services across the NHS in England, prior to the Covid-19 pandemic, and concluded that while the main bodies plans for digital transformation were “ambitious”, the track record for delivering these plans had been “poor”.

Join senior reporter Andrea Downey, editor Hannah Crouch and editor-in-chief Jon Hoeksma as they discuss the reports findings and the future of digitisation within the NHS.

Delving into the findings of the report the team conclude that stronger governance, increased funding and clearer national priorities are need to deliver on future plans.
