The latest Digital Health Unplugged is now live… and we couldn’t run a podcast without talking about the NHS Covid-19 App.

The app was launched in September after months of setbacks, privacy concerns, multiple trials and revised launch dates. It was downloaded more than 10 million times in the first three days following its launch.

Joining our editorial team, senior reporter Andrea Downey and editor Hannah Crouch, for this month’s news team debrief are James Reed, CCIO at Birmingham & Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust and chair of Digital Health’s CCIO Network, and Dermot O’Riordan, CCIO at West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust.

Reed and O’Riordan are both members of the Digital Health Networks and Advisory Panel.

Tune in to hear how our news team and special guests have found using the app, the things that work well and features which may not work as planned. Reed and O’Riordan discuss how using the app in NHS settings may work, and the team look at whether the uptake of the app will be enough to impact the spread of coronavirus.

Digital Health Unplugged published fortnightly on Spotify, iTunes and Apple Podcasts. Follow us to stay up-to-date with the latest news.
