Beverley Bryant CDIO GSST and Kings to step down

Beverley Bryant, the joint chief digital information officer across Guys and St Thomas’s and Kings College hospital trusts is to step down from the end of August.

As CDIO at GSST and Kings Bryant led the largest implementation of an Epic EPR in the UK to date, as well as the recovery from the meltdown of GSST’s IT systems in July 2022.

The move was confirmed in an email sent today by GSST CEO Professor Ian Abbs, who joint keynoted with Bryant at Rewired24 last week

He wrote: “Beverley has been a key member of the trust’s executive team and board for four and a half years. She has led the DT&I team and played a key role in the delivery of our Apollo Programme to go live with Epic, our new electronic patient record across all our sites, across both Trusts last October.”

Prof Abbs added: “She will leave a strong legacy across both organisations as we continue to ensure we get maximum benefit for both patients and staff from the investment we have made in Epic and new patient portal My Chart.”

Prof Abbs said: “While we will of course be very sad to see Beverley go, I know she is keen to take a well-earned break and explore new career opportunities and we wish her all the best with her future endeavours.”

Bryant confirmed to Digital Health News that after a short break she hoped to return in a new national or NHS leadership role.
