German PACS company expands in Europe

Visus the German company that provides image management systems, has announced it is expanding its presence to cover Northern and Eastern Europe by opening new offices in Finland and Russia.

The team based in Veikkola, west of Helsinki, will market its JiveX picture archiving and communications systems further across the Nordic & Baltic areas.

The company already has more 700 installations worldwide including 180 installations in Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.

Peter Rosiepen, vice president of international sales at Visus, said: "With this step, we intend to expand our good market position in the region and ensure an optimal support of partners and projects."

Rosiepen also announced that the company will offer its PACS system to the Russian market by opening an additional office in Moscow.

"Hospital information systems are already established in Russia, the interest in PACS, however, is currently very high. Especially in demand are effective solutions, such as DICOM Mail for fast and secure data exchange as hospitals struggle with particular problems in the network infrastructure."
