ISoft and Picis expand in Nordics

  • 15 February 2011

ISoft has signed an agreement with Picis to sell, implement and support its perioperative, anaesthesia and critical care solutions across Scandinavia and Finland.

ISoft has also opened an office in Kista, Sweden, and signed an agreement with IT clinical specialist Exonor Technologies that will provide staff with local knowledge and expertise.

Adrian Stevens, managing director of iSoft EMEA, said: “The agreement builds on our partnership with Picis and gives us a platform to develop relationships with its customers but also explore opportunities in the wider market.

“The various regional and national e-health initiatives across the region will demand interoperable solutions and experience of managing healthcare IT projects on a large scale, so we are well-placed to assist.”

ISoft began a strategic alliance with Picis in December 2009, when it announced that it would provide its high acuity systems to hospitals across the UK, Ireland, Scandinavia, Australia and New Zealand.

Liz Popovich, executive vice president of international operations at Picis, said: “Together we are committed to providing the highest standard of services in this market, further strengthening our expanding partnership.”

ISoft said it plans to further expand its presence and product offerings in the region.
