🎡 More neighbouring areas will be connected to the London Care Record in order to support more joined up care for people from outside London who have been referred for treatment and care in the Capital, with work now underway to link up Oxford University Hospital and providers in Bedfordshire, Luton, Suffolk and North East Essex to the London Care Record so health and care staff working in those areas can view it via their existing electronic record systems. The London Care Record, a single and secure view of a person’s health and care information,includes details about any conditions a person has, their test results, medicines, allergies, plans for their care and other useful information such as hospital discharge summaries. 

💡 Cognetivity Neurosciences Ltd., an AI healthcare technology company has announced a collaboration with UC Health, one of the leading healthcare systems in the United States, to improve early detection of cognitive impairment in clinical settings in the USA.   

💻 Scientists from the Center for Diagnostics and Telemedicine, in the Moscow Health Department, have conducted a study affirming the efficacy of artificial intelligence services in conducting large-scale breast cancer screenings. The study reveals that neural networks utilized in Moscow’s medical system exhibit sensitivity and specificity levels on par with those of an average radiologist. 

🥼 The London Clinic has announced a £4m two-year re-fit and design of its in-house blood sciences pathology laboratory. The pathology laboratory has been fitted out with industry gold standard equipment including ground-breaking technology in the diagnosis of cancer conditions which will enable a far greater volume of accurate tests to be processed, around the clock, seven days a week.

The NHS monthly performance statistics were published today, with the data showing that depite the huge efforts of NHS staff to reduce waiting lists, patients are still experiencing unacceptably long waits for hospital treatment. In September,, over 33,000 patients spent over 12 hours in A&E departments waiting for a bed. The waiting list for routine operations continues to rise, reaching a new height of 7.75 million in August, with over 396,000 having waited longer than a year.
