The Directive on security of network and information systems (NIS Directive) is the first piece of cybersecurity legislation passed by the European Union (EU).

The NIS sets a range of network and information security requirements which apply to operators of essential services and digital service providers (DSPs).

• How and why it applies to the NHS as a whole?

• What are the key security implications you need to be aware of?

• What are some best practice to ensure technical and organisational security measures are implemented?

• What processes should you implement to respond to security incidents?

Presenters:
Chris Flynn – Head of Security Operations, NHS Digital
