iSOFT Appoints European Chief Executive

Manchester-based health information firm iSOFT Group plc has appointed Ken Jacobson as European Chief Executive, indicating added emphasis on an extended European acquisitions strategy.

As European CEO, Jacobson will be responsible for consolidating iSOFT’s position in the development of healthcare information systems and will focus on organic and acquisitive growth across Europe. He takes up his new position immediately.

"iSOFT’s product portfolio is truly market-leading and I am eager to take on the challenge of further developing iSOFT’s expansion across Europe,” said Jacobsen.

Jacobson has previously worked in senior positions with technology firms including Software AG, Digital Equipment Corporation and Pyramid Technology.
