The Department of Health is calling for more members of the public to complete its Our NHS Our Future review questionnaire, available for two more weeks online.

The questionnaire is open to anyone to complete and its results will be used immediately to inform key recommendations for improving services both nationally and locally.

One question asks users to select the three things they would like to do with their electronic health record, whilst others ask how aware patients are about the choices of healthcare options they have, and what different lifestyle choices they would like from their local NHS organisations.

The Our NHS Our Future review is headed by Lord Ara Darzi, a leading surgeon and minister at the Department of Health.

The review will outline Lord Darzi’s thoughts on the best way forward for the NHS and follows the publication of his interim report last October.

In a media release, the DH said: “The NHS is changing and the Department of Health wants to hear everyone’s views to help it deliver a world-class health service. The Our NHS Our Future review is running an online questionnaire to find out what people want and need from the NHS. It only takes ten minutes to fill in and the results are confidential.”

Lord Darzi added: “This Review is all about engaging with patients, public and staff to shape the NHS for the 21st century. It will be developed and owned by patients, public and staff together. I am determined we will get this right so we need to hear from as many people as possible.”
