Our latest Movers and Shakers roundup features Dr Paul Rice joining Northern Ireland’s Department of Health (DoH) and Mike Richmond becoming chair of Barnsley Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
Lawrence Tallon began his role as chief executive of the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) on 1 April 2025.
Before joining, he was deputy chief executive of Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust from March 2020.
Dr Paul Rice has been appointed as chief digital information officer (CDIO) in Northern Ireland’s DoH.
Rice took up post at the beginning of June 2025 and is responsible for leading the development of health and care digital systems in Northern Ireland.
He will also be the senior information risk officer for DoH, and the leader of Digital Health and Care Northern Ireland.
Rob Hurd will leave North West London Integrated Care Board (ICB) once a new chair is appointed to the organisation, which is anticipated to merge with its neighbour North Central London ICB.
