Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (LPFT) has selected the Portasana Patient Engagement Platform (PEP) to improve digital access and deliver more personalised and efficient care.

It is hoped Portasana will enable LPFT to strengthen patient engagement, improve communication, and support self-management through a secure, NHS App-integrated digital patient engagement portal.

The platform will help streamline processes for clinical teams while giving patients greater visibility and control over their care.

Simon Kelshaw, head of digital at LPFT, said: “We are delighted to be working with Mayden to introduce the Portasana PEP to our service users. This partnership supports our commitment to improving how patients access services and engage with their care.

“By providing more convenient and flexible digital options, we can enhance patient experience while enabling our teams to work more efficiently and focus on delivering high-quality care.”

LPFT provides a wide range of mental health, dementia, learning disabilities, and autism services to over 700,000 people across Lincolnshire. The trust is using digital innovation to improve access, experience, and outcomes for patients and service users.

Portasana supports NHS and international healthcare providers to deliver safe and effective self-management, reducing pressure on clinical teams.

The platform connects with electronic patient record (EPR) systems including Rio, the NHS App, and wider clinical systems, offering a configurable suite of modules such as appointments, letters, messaging, forms, symptom tracking, remote monitoring, and surveys.

Portasana was created by Wellola, which was founded in 2016 by clinical entrepreneurs Sonia Neary and Dr Greg Martin. In March 2026, Wellola was acquired by Mayden, a UK-based health technology company, focused on transforming care through digital solutions.
