Gentofte University Hospital in Hellerup, Denmark, has signed a deal with iMDsoft to deploy its MetaVision software in its newly built, state of the art, intensive care unit.
The deal will see the hospital replace Philips CareVue clinical information system with the MetaVision suite of clinical information systems.
Dr Thomas Mohr, head of the ICU at the hospital, said: “We are convinced that implementing MetaVision is a significant step towards realising our aim of improving patient care and healthcare logistics at Gentofte University Hospital.
“Among the things that particularly attracted us to MetaVision was the enhanced decision support options it offers when compared with the system we previously used. MetaVision provides far more complete adaptability to our particular clinical and administrative needs."
The new system will enable the hospital to capture, document, analyse, report and store patient related data that is generated in critical care, perioperative and acute care.

Last week, the company also signed a deal with Dominion, a technology solutions provider in Spain and Latin America and Conasa, a Spanish IT service provider to enhance the companies profile and distribute the MetaVision suite across Spain.
