This month’s Movers and Shakers round up features appointments at East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust and Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership (AWP) NHS Trust. On the supplier side there has also been appointments at Servelec and Bridgehead.
Kevin McGee, chief executive of East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust, has been asked to lead Blackpool Teaching Hospitals Foundation Trust on an interim and part-time basis.
McGee officially took on the role on 1 May following the retirement of Wendy Swift at the end of April.
Pearse Butler, chairman of Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, said: “We recognise it may take some time to fill the chief executive post and then get the candidate in post so we have decided to secure an interim chief executive.
“Kevin is an experienced, well respected and successful chief executive and will be with us for up to six months while we recruit to the post full time.
“He will remain chief executive and accountable officer for East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust during this time and I am grateful to the chairman and board of East Lancashire for releasing him.’’
Medway NHS Foundation Trust has announced James Devine has been appointed as the new substantive chief executive. 
Devine has acted as interim chief executive at the trust since November 2018, following the departure of Lesley Dwyer.
His previous experience includes senior roles at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children and Barts Health.
Devine said: “I look forward to leading Medway NHS Foundation Trust as we continue to improve care for our patients. It is an incredible privilege to work alongside our fantastic staff, supported by the most committed and determined board I could wish for.
“There is much to do as we continue our progress from better, to best and onto brilliant, but we are making great strides, and have strategies underway to ensure we can inspire and motivate our staff – the best of people – to deliver the best of care.”
Dominic Hardisty has been named the new chief executive of Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership (AWP) NHS Trust. 
He is currently the chief operating officer (COO) and deputy chief executive at Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust. He will take up his role at AWP in August 2019, replacing Dr Hayley Richards.
Hardisty said: “I am thrilled to be appointed chief executive of AWP. There are great things going on in the trust and I look forward to joining and working with staff and stakeholders to ensure we build on current good work and continue to do our very best for service users, their families and carers, as well as for our staff to make AWP outstanding.”
Servelec has announced it has appointed Ian Crichton as CEO. 
He joins from Serco where he was managing director of their UK Health Business.
Ian will be responsible for strengthening and develop the company’s strategy, ensuring excellent customer service delivery to Servelec’s healthcare and local government customers through its software products.
He said: “I am delighted to be joining Servelec at a time where it has never been more important to join up public services and at a juncture where technology now provides us with endless possibilities to improve people’s lives. I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to lead a British technology company in support of such a worthwhile agenda.”
Online mental health service provider, Big White Wall, has appointed Yuval Attias as chief revenue officer (CRO). 
He will be responsible for overseeing the company’s continued growth and expansion.

Healthcare data management company, Bridgehead Software, has appointed David Moysen as director of IT. 
Moysen will be responsible for defining and executing BridgeHead’s infrastructure road map and aligning the IT strategy to the organisation’s needs. Based in the UK, he will oversee and manage global IT operations across BridgeHead’s Ashtead and Boston offices.
He said: “With an industry-wide drive in healthcare to create more efficient enterprise medical and administrative data management, BridgeHead is leading the way in providing clinicians with access to patient information when they need it, at the point of care.
