Mid and South Essex to support integrated care with HealthTrust Europe

Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust has announced it has teamed up with HealthTrust Europe to support integrated care in the region.

HealthTrust Europe will become Mid and South Essex’s commercial procurement partner. It will share its expertise to support the trust’s aim to deliver high-quality local services within the integrated care system (ICS).

Dale Robinson, HealthTrust Europe’s COO, said: “As a company, we are committed to supporting the joining up of health and care as part of the ICS agenda, and this partnership allows us to bring our knowledge and experience in procurement services to Mid and South Essex to improve health and care for the patients across the area.”

The partnership will be built on a foundation of shared goals, mutual understanding, trust and governance. HealthTrust Europe’s resources, expertise and capacity will align to Mid and South Essex’s strategic goals. As a result, health and care services and patient outcomes in the region will be improved.

Jonathan Dunk, chief commercial officer at Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust, said: “I am delighted to be entering in a Partnership with HTE which will enhance our expertise and procurement function to deliver value for our patients through evidence-based health and care solutions that will ultimately benefit the trust and our population.”

The longer-term benefits of the partnership include the transfer of knowledge and skills to support innovation and the growth within the trust.

Earlier this year Mid and South Essex formed a six-year partnership with eConsult to deliver a patient management system to help reduce the trust’s waiting list backlog.
