Salesforce announces new Patient 360 for Health innovations

Salesforce has announced its newest Patient 360 for Health innovations, which will help personalise care experiences in real-time and deliver cost-savings for organisations via automation.

Healthcare organisations will be able to enhance the overall care experience with the new technology, including real-time data from Data Cloud, Einstein AI and automation with Flow. This will support the automation of manual processes like prior authorisations, intake and patient scheduling.

Salesforce Patient 360 for Health delivers a number of immediate benefits for healthcare practitioners. These include an interactive health timeline, advanced therapy management functionality and Salesforce Genie for Healthcare.

Amit Khanna, SVP & GM, healthcare and life sciences at Salesforce, said: ā€œThe future of healthcare requires trusted, compliant technologies to help deliver greater levels of personalisation and automation.

ā€œCustomer 360 for Health, Data Cloud, and Einstein AI use the full power of Salesforce to deliver faster time to value, helping any healthcare organisation build more trusted patient relationships at a lower operational cost.ā€

New functionality

The new features will help enhance efficiencies and drive cost reductions for business functions across healthcare operations.

The Interactive Health Timeline makes it easy for care teams and crisis centre counsellors to view and filter a patientā€™s developmental milestones and behavioural events, such as recent hospital visits, life events, psychiatric prescriptions and ambulatory care.

The Advanced Therapy Management tool helps pharmaceutical companies to streamline and maintain full visibility around the entire treatment process for patients from referrals and appointment scheduling through to drug administration.

In addition, the Salesforce Genie for Healthcare integrates real-time clinical data and non-clinical data to help create a more comprehensive patient profile.

Using Data Cloud for Healthcare will enable healthcare and life sciences firms to connect and activate clinical and non-clinical patient data from multiple sources. This data will help build a real-time patient profile that can help organisations to identify potential risks, boost patient engagement and determine therapeutic approaches.

The use of Einstein Predictions also helps care teams to leverage data insights from similar groups to better understand a patientā€™s health insights.

Other newly announced features include:

  • Home Health: to automate the intake and scheduling process for in-home treatment.
  • Patient Contact Center: A pre-configured agent console that provides a comprehensive view of a patient.
  • MuleSoft Direct for Health Cloud: Out-of-the-box FHIR-aligned connectors to access EHR data.
  • Tableau Accelerators for Health Cloud: Customisable intelligent dashboards to help get data-driven insights faster.

Salesforce previously introduced new functionality for Patient 360 for Health back in November 2022.
