🖥 Induction, a digital health platform driving transformation of healthcare systems has recently signed three new patient portal development contracts with the NHS, totalling £1.4m. The contracts include an agreement with North Central London ICS (covering three trusts) worth £486,000 that allows patients to view their diagnostic appointment details and launch a video consultation; a £346,000 contract with Royal Free London covering several patient portal projects, including one for wait list validation and enhanced functionality for Patient Initiated Follow Up (PIFU); and a £577,000 deal with South West London ICB covering several patient portal projects. 

👵 Residents across Dorset receiving support in their homes have been given a helping hand thanks to an innovative project, which has successfully reduced the waiting times for care packages. Working with the Dorset Care Association, Home Care Forum and providers, Dorset Council has reduced the waiting time to just 4.5 days compared to 28 days in July, offering a better service to Dorset residents and creating greater efficiency for providers while boosting the economy. 

🧤 Interventions are needed to urgently prevent elderly and vulnerable people from putting their health at risk, with temperatures inside some homes reaching as low as 5C last winter, says Lilli, the SaaS company using a proactive care lifestyle monitoring technology to revolutionise care.  

💊 Pharmacierge, an e-Prescription medtech for private clinicians, has announced a substantial 5,500 sqft expansion in Wimpole Street, where it will create central London’s largest robotically-enabled dispensary. The expansion will feature a 30 foot dispensing robot. 

📲 Withings Health Solutions, the professional health division of connected health pioneers Withings, has announced a new partnership with Validic, a leading provider of health data connectivity solutions. The partnership will see Withings cellular connected health devices integrated into the world’s largest health IoT platform.

Investments in diabetes-focused AI companies have skyrocketed to $4.755 billion by September 2023 — a remarkable 13-fold increase since 2015, according to new findings published by AI in Diabetes 2023, a platform launched by Aging Analytics Agency (AAA), a subsidiary of Deep Knowledge Group.
