In his plenary session he will provide his views on the NHS’ national strategy for data and technology.

As CDIO of Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust, one of the most digitally advanced trusts in the country, he will share insights from their transformation journey towards delivering digitally enabled services.

Having held senior digital and data roles at Oxford University Hospitals, Thames Valley and Surrey Secure Data Environment, Liverpool Women’s Hospital and the Royal Liverpool Hospital, he is one of the NHS’ most accomplished digital leaders.

Join Walliker and other senior NHS IT leaders for the two-day residential Summer Schools, which is taking place on 17-18 July 2025 at the University of Warwick, featuring leadership breakout sessions; topic workshops spanning AI ethics, clinical safety, benefits realisation; and NHS digital leadership case studies.

Other confirmed speakers include Helen Balsdon, chief nursing information officer (CNIO) at NHSE, Hayley Grafton, CNIO at University Hospitals Leicester NHS Trust and Tang.

The Digital Health Awards, organised by Digital Health Networks, will also take place at Summer Schools, celebrating innovation, dedication and excellence across the healthcare landscape, and recognising the achievements of senior NHS IT leaders and upcoming trailblazers who are driving transformation.
