National CIO John Quinn returns as Summer Schools keynote in 2024

Digital Health is delighted to announce that NHS England’s CIO John Quinn will return as keynote at Summer Schools 2024 in July.

Quinn will share with delegates the knotty challenge of trying to ensure £3.4 billion of promised new investment in NHS IT focuses on getting the basics right while also underpinning real productivity gains.

He will be joined by Sue Jacques, County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust’s highly experienced CEO, and former Healthcare Financial Management Association president, who will contextualise the challenge of delivering digital transformation in a health system under immense strain.

Sir Jim Mackey, CEO of Newcastle Hospitals and Shauna McMahon, chief information officer (CIO) of Newcastle Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust have been confirmed as an opening joint keynote at Summer Schools.

Digital health strategy leader for the Catalan Health Service, Dr Jordi Piera Jimenez, has also been announced as the pioneering international keynote at the event.

Digital Health Summer Schools, which takes place 18-19 July 2024 at Durham University, is exclusively available for members of Digital Health Networks.

It brings together chief clinical information officers, chief nursing information officers and CIOs, together with current and aspiring digital health leaders for CPD-accredited content, networking and best practices exchange.
