Dr Jennifer Dixon DBE and Hutan Ashrafian, two of the most influential leaders in health policy and clinical science, are the latest keynote speakers to be confirmed for Digital Health Rewired 2026.

Dixon has been chief executive of the Health Foundation since October 2013. Prior to this, she was chief executive at the Nuffield Trust, director of policy at The King’s Fund and was the policy advisor to the chief executive of the NHS between 1998 and 2000.

She has led two national inquiries for government: on the setting up of published ratings of quality of NHS and social care providers in England (2013); and on the setting up of ratings for general practices (2015).

Ranked upon the world’s top 1% of scientists, Ashrafian is a surgeon, author and entrepreneur who has advanced translational clinical research, AI trials, robotics and health policy.

His glittering CV includes working with the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) on AI assessments and Google on mammography AI for NHS cancer screening.

He is currently the chief medical officer at Harbinger Health, offering transformative liquid biopsy solutions to transform early cancer detection across the cancer care continuum.

Digital Health Rewired is the largest trade show connecting all parts of the UK health IT sector and digital health community. The event, which is headline sponsored by The Access Group and Optum, returns in 2026 with new stages, new show features and an expanded exhibition area.

It will take place on 24-25 March 2026 at the NEC in Birmingham, connecting healthcare providers and planners, researchers, academics, established industry leaders, suppliers, start-ups and patients interested in how digital tools can improve healthcare.

Dixon and Ashrafian join already confirmed speakers Jonathan Brotherton, chief executive at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust, and Rachel Power, chief executive at The Patients Association, as keynotes at the event.
