BT Syntegra names Axios Systems as help desk partners

  • 16 July 2004

Axios Systems’ assyst software has been selected by BT Syntegra as its help desk and IT service management system for the NHS central data ‘spine’ and the London cluster.

The service desks will be set up and managed from BT Syntegra’s UK service centre based in Leeds.

Ailsa Symeonides, Axios Systems’ sales and marketing director, said: “We are looking forward to playing our part in improving the quality of care provided to NHS patients by helping ensure the best possible performance of the IT systems concerned."

One of the conditions for winning the contract was that the system supplier had to achieve certification for BS15000, the new worldwide standard specifically aimed at IT service management, within 18 months. Axios Systems recently announced that it was the first organisation in the world to gain BS15000.

Steve Spratt, Vice-President, Global Services, of Edinburgh-based Axios Systems, commented: “assyst gives BT Syntegra a robust and stable platform which provides the functionality it needs to manage its customers."

The company was named Software Company of the Year 2004 at an annual awards round sponsored by Scottish Enterprise.
