Digital responses to Covid-19 across the North East will be at the forefront of the next regional networks webinar and will feature a stellar line up, including three of the leading NHS CIOs in England.

On 10 June at 3pm, the digital leaders of the most advanced NHS organisations in the North east will present and take live questions on the work they have led and speak about how the tradition of collaboration across the region has proved crucial in enabling a joined up response to the Covid-19 crisis.

The three Global Digital Exemplar CIOs on the webinar are:

  • Darren McKenna, CIO at Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust
  • Prof Graham Evans, Chief Information and Technology Officer at North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust
  • Graham King CIO at The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Adding a vital clinical perspective from primary care will be Dr Jonathan Harness, CCIO Newcastle and Gateshead Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG).

The North East regional network event is the third in the series, following April’s focus on London and May’s South East focus. Recordings of the first two events are available on Digital Health.

Each of the regional focus webinars highlight a range of digital responses to Covid-19 across one NHS region

In July, the Networks will have their first national online event – the virtual Summer Schools – with the monthly regional series returning in August.

The regional focus webinars are free to members of Digital Health Networks, the national community of local NHS IT leaders, and will provide a series of snapshots of key initiatives in the North East to help give attendees a bigger picture from those leading initiatives and enable them to put their questions to them in a lively Q&A.
