Medicines management company WellSky has partnered with Australia’s Modeus to deliver a controlled drug management platform.

The WellSky CD Manager provides a comprehensive controlled drug management solution, developed my pharmacists for clinical staff working in pharmacy, wards and theatres.

Building on the company’s medicines management platform, the solution provides hospitals with a paperless solution for managing their controlled drugs.

It specifically helps controlled drugs accountable officers to monitor the lifecycle of controlled drugs in an organisation and proactively responds to automated alerts on discrepancies or potential diversion of drugs via in-built reporting.

Robert Tysall-Blay, chief executive of WellSky, said: “The product is currently used extensively throughout Australian hospitals to safely manage and track controlled drugs, including patient’s own drugs.

“We anticipate a great deal of interest in this latest addition to the WellSky suite. Integration and testing are well underway and the CD Manager product will be available to customers from 1 September 2020.”
