Two keynotes announced for Rewired24 Integrated Care Stage

Digital Health has announced two new speakers, Matt Boazman and Paul Farmer, for its keynote session on the Integrated Care stage on day 2 of Rewired24.

Integrated care systems and other parts of the health service are on a mission to make integrated health and social care a reality through the use of shared care records, population health, patient portals and remote care at scale.

Yet, the corresponding rise of digital health services and apps offers creates huge challenges in ensuring equity and access for all members of society.

Rewired24’s Integrated Care stage will explore different ways of looking at equity and access in digital health. The proliferation of digital health services and apps assumes high levels of digital literacy, particularly among older people, who are the most intensive users of health services.

The keynote session on the second day of Rewired will explore how older members of society are coping with the digital health revolution and how user experience (UX) is key to serving them.

Boazman, CEO of Birmingham Women’s and Children’s Hospital NHS FT, which is embarking on a major digital transformation initiative, will describe how his trust is working to ensure digital meets the health needs of women and children served. Farmer, CEO of Age UK, will share his unique insights – based on Age UK research – on the digital health experiences and needs of older citizens.

Join Matthew and Paul as they provide two contrasting and complementary perspectives on ensuring digital health is equitable and inclusive for all, on the Integrated Care Stage, day two of Rewired24.

Also on the Integrated Care stage on day 2 are sessions looking at the sustainability and evolution of shared care records, a deep dive into population health and an exploration of convergence and integrated care strategies.

Rewired24 takes place 12-13 March at the NEC in Birmingham.  It  is free for NHS and public sector professionals, with CPD accreditation available for all sessions. Private sector tickets are £475+VAT. You can register your place here.

The full programme for Rewired 2024, including details of speakers and sessions, is available now online.
