Ultrasis Announces CalmHeart Sale

Ultrasis plc, the interactive healthcare company, has announced that it has secured an order for CalmHeart NSF, its NHSnet enabled clinical education product.

The CalmHeart product is a patient focused interactive education and motivational tool for coronary heart disease. It is designed to help clinicians in the assessment, risk stratification and monitoring of patients.

Ultrasis says CalmHeart NSF has been specifically developed to satisfy the guidelines outlined by the National Service Framework (NSF) for CHD. Because the product is web-enabled it allows primary care practices, cardiac rehabilitation services and secondary prevention clinics to access the same system via the NHSnet.

Initially, the software will be available in eight sites across the Swindon Primary Care Trust area, with the Taw Hill Medical Practice being the first to go on-line.

The installation includes full integration with the EMIS Primary Care Clinical Information System which is widely used in General Practice surgeries in the UK.

Taw Hill Medical Practice GP Partner Dr Peter Crouch said "Having used the stand-alone software and found it to be extremely useful, the CalmHeart NSF software delivered from the server will increase our capability to offer cardiovascular risk advice for our patients."
