BT e-Health Insider Awards to reward outstanding work

  • 29 March 2007

Award winning healthcare IT news service, e-Health Insider and the NHS’s leading information and communication technology supplier, BT have joined forces to reward the best teamwork and individuals in their sector.

The BT e-Health Insider Awards ’07 are launched today with opportunities for healthcare ICT people to gain recognition in five categories:

Primary Care ICT Team of the Year

Acute Care ICT Team of the Year

Community and Mental Health Care ICT Team of the Year

Excellence in Health Information Management Award

Healthcare Business ICT Support Team of the Year

In addition there will be a chance for readers to nominate their Healthcare ICT Champion of the Year.

Launching the BT e-Health Insider Awards ‘07, editor, Jon Hoeksma, said: “It’s great that BT is supporting these awards. There’s a lot of good work going on in healthcare ICT around the country and the staff who make these projects and programmes happen receive few plaudits. We hope the awards will highlight the achievements of this group generally and give some long overdue recognition to the stars among them.”

Patrick O’Connell, managing director, BT Health said: “We are delighted to join with e-Health Insider to recognise the energy, commitment and achievements of NHS people. BT has been working with the NHS since its inception in 1948 and we are proud to be playing our part today by supplying technology to support health professionals in delivering even better care for patients.”

Details of the awards are at: www.ehealthawards.com

Entries are welcome now. Closing date 2 July 2007.
