Movers and Shakers news roundup

The latest edition of Movers and Shakers includes appointments at Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust and DrDoctor.


Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire West Integrated Care Board has appointed its third chief executive, and second interim, since it was established last July.

Oxford Health Foundation Trust CEO Nick Broughton will take on the interim role at BOB ICB, which his trust is a member of, in July.


Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust (HDFT) has appointed Jonathan Coulter as its new chief executive following a national recruitment process.

Coulter will succeed Steve Russell, who went on secondment to NHS England as National Director for Vaccinations and Screening in February 2022, and who accepted the permanent role at NHS England in December 2022.

Coulter said: “I am delighted to have been appointed permanently into the role of chief executive.

“HDFT is a brilliant organisation with wonderful people. It is very humbling to be in a position to support all of our fantastic colleagues to be the best that they can be and continue to do what we try to do every day, which is to help and support the people who need us.”


Laura Pullan has joined Queen Victoria Hospital NHS Foundation Trust as chief nursing information officer (CNIO). She will split her working week supporting the trust on their digital journey and continuing in her digital nurse specialist role at Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust.


Award-winning health and technology company Nordic Consulting has appointed senior healthcare leader Samara Lattimer as its new client partner, as part of the company’s expanded offering in the UK and Ireland.


Orion Health has appointed Gabriel Radford as its new sales director for Scotland. Radford, who has a background in business development for companies working with health, social care, and local government, will support customers and help them to develop their digital care records.


DrDoctor, the UK’s leading patient engagement platform (PEP) supplier, has appointed Nick Barlow, who serves as chief digital transformation officer at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation, as executive director.

Nick joins the executive team to support the organisation’s efforts in driving the next phase of their impact and growth across the NHS.


SynApps Solutions, the enterprise content management specialist with deep experience across the NHS, has appointed Gary Donohue as its dedicated NHS Account Director. His remit is to grow the company’s already substantial footprint within the NHS.


UK healthcare informatics provider, Epro, has appointed Dr Chandu Wickramarachchi as chief clinical informatics officer (CCIO) in a new position that supports the organisation’s mission to enable clinicians to increase productivity and improve patient outcomes.
