In the first of a series of articles focusing on the people behind NHS Informatics, Joe Fernandez interviews Peter Knight, managing director of clinical support services and asset management at Winchester & Eastleigh NHS Trust.

Peter Knight has been working hard at Winchester to ensure the trust continues to be a leader in its use of information technology to support patient services. He has led the trust’s move onto the Cerner Millennium Release 0 patient administration system – the first with order communications under the NHS IT programme, PACS, the EuroKing E3 maternity information system and Touchpaper IT Helpdesk software. Here, we get an insight into the man behind the transformation.
