Digital Health Rewired, the UK’s best health IT event, will return in 2021 as an exciting five-day virtual festival celebrating the very best of digital health.

Running on 15-19 March, Rewired 2021 will explore the digital responses to the Covid-19 pandemic which have been witnessed over the last year, and also look ahead to how digital will support the future NHS.

The Rewired 2021 programme includes a diverse range of different focused summits and events, designed to appeal to everyone working to achieve the benefits of digital technologies across health and care for patients.

Digital Health Rewired is where healthcare IT leaders and their teams connect with each other and the biggest health tech brands and brightest start-ups.

Jon Hoeksma, editor-in-chief, of event organiser Digital Health, said: “Covid-19 resulted in all of us experiencing very rapid digital changes, particularly NHS professionals. I invite everyone interested in these profound changes in health and care, and what comes next, to save the dates in their diaries and take part in Rewired 2021.”

The festival of events will include an engaging mix of keynote speakers, video case studies, lightning talks, panel discussions and smaller interactive break-out sessions, plus briefings and masterclasses with sponsors and exhibitors, and a lively social programme.  All sessions will carry CPD accreditation.

Hoeksma added: “Rewired 2021 builds on the experience and success of our Virtual Summer School earlier in the year.  Working with the same trusted partners and team we are now launching what will be the most exciting digital health event of 2021.”

Rewired 2021 will begin on Monday, 15 March, with the Interoperability Summit and Digital Responses to Covid-19, which builds on Digital Health’s popular webinar series, which over 6,000 have participated in.

Then on Tuesday, 16 March we will see the return of the exclusive Digital Leadership Summit. Now in its sixth year, the Summit is dedicated to NHS CIOs, CCIOs, CNIOs and future digital leaders.

Wednesday, 17 March will see four half-day Summits focused on four of the key technology trends shaping digital health: Cloud and Mobile, Clinical Software, Connected Care and Virtual Care.

While on Thursday, 18 March, we have the Digital Transformation Summit, focused on delivering large scale digital transformation in health, drawing lessons from the UK and internationally.

Then finally on Friday, 19 March, will have the launch of the new AI and Data Summit, which will be dedicated to latest developments in data and health; plus the New Normal, which will look at how digital can support the NHS in a dramatically changed world in which old assumptions have been swept away.

Jo Dickson, chair of the Digital Health CNIO Network, said: “Following the success of virtual summer school, I’m really excited to attend Rewired 2021.

“The virtual format opens up access to conferences which is not generally possible for some clinical practitioners. From past experience, I’m sure it will be a great opportunity for networking and collaborating, with varied and interesting speakers and sessions.

“I always leave these events energised about the great work being done by others, and thoughts about how I can use the learning in my own practice, as well as with a host of new connections!”

Working with partners including NHSX and DigitalHealth.London, Rewired 2021 will also again bring together current NHS IT leaders and their teams with the latest innovations from start-ups and suppliers.

The Pitchfest will make a welcome return to Rewired 2021, with a brand new bunch of start-ups battling it out in daily heats of quick-fire pitches for a place in the final and the chance to win the coveted Pitchfest title and cup.

Jenny Thomas, Programme director, DigitalHealth.London, partner on Pitchfest, said: “Rewired is a fantastic opportunity to showcase some of the best innovations in health tech, debate the challenges and solutions facing health care and come together as the diverse and dynamic sector digital health now is. DigitalHealth.London are delighted to be partnering with Rewired in 2021.”
