Twelve suppliers have been appointed to a new £800 million digital capability for health framework.

The framework aims to support public health and other care organisations provide digital outcomes and services.

Crown Commercial Services worked with NHS Digital to select suppliers capable of providing an agile approach to developing new digital solutions; support with existing services; and data management services.

The framework is due to run for four years with no option to extend.

The agreement is designed to provide services in five key areas:

  • development and operations (DevOps) – for ongoing minor improvements of live services
  • digital definition services – creating and progressing the project through discovery and alpha phases
  • build and transition services – building the services using beta and live phases
  • end-to-end development services – designing and developing the services from discovery to live phases
  • data management services – for performing data collection, data processing and analysis and management of data and services

Seth Finegan, UK chief executive of Informed Solutions, one of the selected suppliers, said: “From our experience of successfully designing and delivering national digital services remotely and at scale during the past year, we recognise that there is an unprecedented demand for transformative digital experience and analytics solutions that will help deliver the critical healthcare services of the future.

A consortium of SMEs were also appointed to the framework under Hippo Digital’s banner, including Answer Digital, Apira, Made tech and The Data Shed.
