  • Funding will support the company to scale its AI-native care model

Perci Health has closed a £3 million round, doubling its original target of £1.5m and raising a total of £7.7m in funding to support its plan to scale its AI-powered virtual cancer clinic.

The funding round included a £295,000 investment from Macmillan Cancer Support, along with Guinness Ventures and Conduit Fund. They are joining existing backers Octopus Ventures and 35 of the UK’s leading oncologists and cancer surgeons.

According to a press release, published on 11 June 2025, Perci Health’ aims to “radically improve global cancer outcomes by delivering Supportive Cancer Care through a digital, AI-native care model.”

Kelly McCabe, cofounder and chief executive at Perci Health, said: “Our mission to close the cancer care gap is powered by an outstanding team who are deeply committed to transforming the cancer care experience.

“This investment will allow us to continue pioneering a model of care that integrates digital innovation with compassionate, specialist-led support, providing better outcomes for everyone living with and beyond cancer.

“With more people living with cancer, there’s an urgent need for healthcare solutions that cater to long-term survivorship.

“By working with insurers, employers, and healthcare providers, we aim to reshape cancer care to ensure better outcomes for patients and cost savings for the system.”

In the UK, cancer outcomes haven’t kept pace with other European countries, sometimes trailing by as much as 25 years, according to analysis by Macmillan Cancer Support.

Data from the National Disease Registration Service show that 41% of diagnoses are happening at a later stage and around a third of people are missing crucial screening appointments for breast, bowel and cervical cancer.

Perci Health’s model aims to tackle this need by delivering  care spanning prevention, early detection, treatment navigation, symptom management and survivorship care.

Chantal Cox, investor at Octopus Ventures, said: “We’re incredibly impressed by the way Perci Health is tackling the gaps in cancer care with a human-first, tech-enabled model.

“This approach not only addresses pressing healthcare needs but also delivers measurable impact in terms of both clinical outcomes and cost-efficiency, which is vital for scaling the model across more insurers, employers, and health systems.”

The funding will also allow Perci Health to expand its existing partnerships with employers and insurers, helping more people to access its cancer care services.

Perci Health enables earlier intervention, personalised recovery plans and return-to-work programmes that address both physical and psychological barriers and are tailored to the complex needs of people with cancer.

In July 2023, Perci Health was announced as one of 17 digital health companies selected for DigitalHealth.London’s flagship Accelerator programme.
