The final Movers and Shakers roundup of 2023 features significant appointments at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust and The South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust.


University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust is further strengthening the clinical leadership of its digital agenda with the recruitment of Dr Jeremy Tong and Hayley Grafton to the posts of chief medical information officer and chief nursing information officer respectively.


Two new Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust board members have been appointed. Kimberley Salmon-Jamieson will join as chief nurse from 1 April 2024 and David Walliker will join as chief digital and information officer at the end of April.

The South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) has appointed Dr John Martin as its interim chief executive. As announced in September, Will Warrender intends to resign as chief executive, after three years at the trust.

John will join SWASFT from the London Ambulance Service (LAS) in December 2023.


Ashford and St Peter’s Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has to announced the appointment of Dr Jason Bincalar as chief digital information officer (CDIO) from Wednesday 3 January 2024.


Sheffield Children’s NHS Foundation Trust has appointed Professor Laura Serrant OBE as its new trust chair.
