NoemaLife, the Italian provider of healthcare workflow automation and process management solutions, has launched NeomaLife UK.

Formed in 1996, NoemaLife already helps thousands of healthcare facilities in Italy and elsewhere in mainland Europe improve their workflow and processes.

As part of its expansion across Europe, NoemaLife has recognised a new energy from NHS Trusts in the UK to invest in clinical IT solutions and this has triggered the company’s move into the region.

Robyn Tolley, managing director, NoemaLife UK, said the Italian healthcare system, which is a state-funded national service, had many similarities to the NHS. It also faces similar pressures to offer modern, effective health care while keeping costs under control.

“Due to the uncertainty around the National Programme for IT in England we’re seeing trusts beginning to reassess their healthcare IT solutions.

"The time is therefore ripe to extend NoemaLife’s expertise into the market to help the trusts attain similar standards of efficiency and cost effectiveness as their Italian counterparts.”

NoemaLife says it provides high quality solutions are designed to meet the specific requirements of areas such as enterprise electronic medical records as well as laboratory, pathology, infection control and Radiology Information Systems/PACS.

The solutions have been developed with the practical needs of medical teams in mind which makes adoption easy, ensuring that staff operate efficiently while remaining focused on providing high levels of patient care.

Francesco Serra, chief executive of NoemaLife S.p.A, said: “The UK expansion is the next logical move for NoemaLife, especially given the similarities between the two health infrastructures.

"We see huge potential in the region and look forward to the role that NoemaLife can play in helping NHS trusts optimise their efficiency and exceed the targets being placed upon them – in terms of both patient care and budget management.”
