Digital Health’s monthly roundup of contracts and go lives
- 12 June 2026
This contracts and go lives roundup includes electronic patient record (EPR) go-lives, following delays, at both North Cumbria Integrated Care and York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trusts.
North Cumbria goes live with EPR following delay by NHSE
North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust (NCIC) went live last month with phase one of its EPR, following an intervention by NHS England which delayed the launch.
The trust signed a 10-year contract with Alcidion in February 2025 to roll out its Miya Precision EPR. The system is intended to enable mobile working, streamline patient flow, support clinical decision-making and provide clinicians with real-time access to a unified patient record.
NCIC confirmed on LinkedIn that the system went live on the morning of 12 May 2026, thanking “everyone who has played a role today in making the go-live run smoothly so far”.
York and Scarborough goes live with Nervecentre EPR after delay
York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust also went live with its Nervecentre EPR system in May.
The EPR went live across Bridlington, Scarborough and York hospitals, as well as a range of community settings including St Monica’s, Selby, White Cross Court and Nelson’s Court, covering key clinical areas such as urgent and emergency care, inpatient wards, maternity, paediatrics and neonatal services.
The system was originally planned to go live in late February and early March 2026, however a spokesperson for the trust told Digital Health News in March that a decision was taken to pause implementation “to focus on maximising elective activity and recovering urgent and emergency care performance after the winter”.
System C completes Badgernet maternity rollout in Wales
System C has completed the rollout of its BadgerNet maternity platform across all seven NHS health boards in Wales, creating a single national digital maternity record and patient-facing app.
The implementation, first announced in early 2025, means around 26,000 babies born in Wales each year will now be supported through one maternity information system, replacing local systems and removing the need for paper hand-held maternity notes.
BadgerNet went live across the seven health boards in Wales between July 2025 and April 2026.
Hampshire and Isle of Wight adopts continuing healthcare platform
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Integrated Care Board went live with the IEG4 digital continuing healthcare (CHC) solution as part of the organisation’s digital transformation.
Approximately 6,200 cases are currently held in the system, including CHC, funded nursing care, children and young people, and adult cases.
The platform aims to improve management of NHS-funded care packages by streamlining referrals, assessments, approvals, contracting, payments and case management.
Since the contract was signed in December 2025, the organisations have worked together to deploy the solution, with phased go-live taking place between March and July 2026.
Stockport trust completes rollout of new pathology LIMS
Stockport NHS Foundation Trust’s pathology department launched a laboratory information management system (LIMS) from Clinisys to improve management of millions of patient test results.
The system aims to improve how laboratory results are reported, helping to speed up diagnosis and treatment.
It has now been successfully launched with laboratory blood sciences, following the integration with microbiology and cellular pathology services last year.
Royal Cornwall Hospitals delays Oracle EPR go-live
Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust (RCHT) has delayed the go-live of its Oracle Health EPR system to ensure it can be launched safely and maintain service continuity.
The trust announced in September 2023 that it was designing and developing a new EPR system to replace several digital and paper-based systems, with an initial launch planned for spring 2025.
Kelvyn Hipperson, chief information officer at RCHT, told Digital Health News that a new go-live date of June 2026 had been set to ensure the trust is in the best position to make the most of what the system offers.
However, a May 2026 trust board paper revealed that the EPR, called eCare, would not go live in June 2026 as planned following a 60-day review of clinical, operational and technical readiness.
