TPP’s SystmOne and the wide area network version of EMIS PCS should meet Connecting for Health standards for hosted systems by the end of the year, according to their suppliers.

The eight suppliers that have been accepted onto the GP Systems of Choice (GPSoC) framework have published details of when they expect to achieve the six different compliance levels set out in the GPSoC “maturity model.”

The supplier roadmap shows none of the suppliers have met CfH’s standards for hosted systems but CSC, suppliers of TPP’s SystmOne on the framework, hopes SystmOne will gain accreditation by the end of December. EMIS too hopes to achieve compliance for EMIS PCS over a wide area network by the end of the year.

The roadmap shows EMIS LV and INPS Vision 3 as the two systems already compliant with level three of the maturity model, which requires compliance with CfH’s requirements for GP2GP record transfer as well as the Electronic Prescription Service and Choose and Book. CSC believes SystmOne will meet that requirement by the end of June 2008.

INPS estimates that Vision 3 over a wide area network will meet CfH’s standards for hosted systems by the end of March 2008 and Vision 4, INPS’ new system, will be level three and four compliant by the end of December 2008, as is the aim for EMIS Web. iSoft hopes both its Premiere and Synergy systems will be level three and four compliant by the end of June 2008.

GPSoC requires suppliers to publish a roadmap of their planned compliance with the maturity model to help GP practices make a decision about whether they want to switch with their existing system or move to another system. Pricing information for each system will be published when CfH has completed contract negotiations with all the suppliers. So far five out of the eight suppliers have signed their GPSoC contracts.
