Liquidlogic gives away free APIs

  • 6 May 2008

Liquidlogic, a provider of collaborative software to the public sector, has announced it is to offer its customers a full suite of Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) for their PROTOCOL applications free of charge.

The free interfaces will be available to both new and current Liquidlogic customers from next month.

Denise Harrison, Liquidlogic’s sales and marketing director, said: “Liquidlogic is aiming to be as open and collaborative in its business practices as it is with the actual solutions themselves.

“We feel it is important that our customers have a fully enhanced solution so they can deliver the best service possible at all times. Ultimately, we don’t think local authorities should have to pay up to up to £100,000 extra to achieve this.”

The newly available APIs make it possible to securely query, retrieve, manipulate and monitor all client data contained within PROTOCOL applications, supporting a wide range of integration and data-extract scenarios.

Using the interfaces, organisations will be able to maximise the value obtained from PROTOCOL applications, and facilitate better care through more open and timely visibility of data, Liquidlogic says.

A spokesperson added: “The new PROTOCOL APIs are intuitive to use, and are built on modern open web-service based standards that can be securely accessed from any client technology platform.”

Liquidlogic’s systems include the Integrated Children’s System (ICS), PROTOCOL Integrated Adult’s System (IAS), Electronic Single Assessment Process (eSAP), and e-Enabled Common Assessment Framework (eCAF).
