The Netherlands British Chamber of Commerce is organising a two day fact finding mission in February for British firms who want to find out more about selling into the fast-growing Dutch health ICT market.

The trade mission is intended to be of assistance to British suppliers looking to export their products and services into the Nertherlands, and provide them with an overview of key health IT projects and procurements underway and planned.

NBCC says the two day visit is designed to provide British suppliers with valuable market information on opportunities in the Dutch healthcare-IT market, insight into market entry strategies and the opportunity to meet with prospective clients.

The trade mission is specifically intended to assist British healthcare IT suppliers looking to gain a better understanding of with exporting to the Netherlands. The event, which will take place on 15 and 16 February, is timed to coincide with the main Dutch health IT exhibition being held in Utrecht.

The Healthcare & IT exhibition (in Dutch: Zorg and ICT) in Utrecht presents the latest developments in IT, e-health and telemedicine. NBCC told EHI that much of the exhibition and show was held in English.

In addition the itinery for the two day trade mission includes visits to national healthcare-IT institutions, including a visit to the national Dutch health IT agency NICTIZ, seminar and presentations on key issues held by industry professionals together with a networking dinner.

According to NBCC the Dutch market is particularly attractive for British suppliers due to its easy access, and the growth in IT investment as part of modernisation of the Dutch healthcare system.
