  • 22 August 2008

Primary care systems specialist EMIS has released details of its annual National User Group conference, which takes place between 11 and 12 September, at Warwick University.

The annual NUG conference includes an update on NHS Connecting for Health’s Electronic Prescription Service phase 2, from Dr Manpreet Pujara the new clinical director for EPS. Dr Pujara is a former chair of the EMIS NUG.

The programme also includes an update on the National Care Record and QRISK2, the recently released new cardiovascular risk score.

Other developments on show will be the latest version of EMIS Web, with a presentation on how the web-based system is enabling an interoperability project in Liverpool.

Delegates will hear how the system is being used to manage inappropriate patient A&E admissions at the Royal Liverpool University Hospital, and enabling information sharing information between primary and secondary care.

On Friday 12 September the conference will include a debate on ‘Information Sharing and the Single Patient Record’.
