Healthcare database and integration specialist InterSystems, has signed a partnership agreement with Hayes Management Consulting, to find new ways of offering expanded integration technology to healthcare IT markets worldwide.

Management consultancy Hayes plans to develop affordable packaged software, such as business process and activity dashboards, using the InterSystems Ensemble integration platform to bring disparate healthcare systems together for business and clinical end users.

InterSystems’ Vice President of North American Sales, Matt Nee, told E-Health Europe: “InterSystems and Hayes have had a long term partnership and this seems like a natural extension from that. These whiteboards coupled with our integration software will help to pull together vital information for executives and present it on just one screen.”

The technology is already being piloted in the US and Nee predicts it will do well in the European and Asian markets in the future.

“We think it’s great technology, what we’d define as a killer application. We will be encouraging Hayes to launch this technology into the healthcare IT market overseas because it really has the ability to help improve healthcare.”

Andy Treanor, vice president of technology solutions at Hayes, said the technology will help introduce cost-saving for senior health executives: "Both companies seek to provide cutting-edge healthcare technology to reduce costs and improve business performance that enables safer patient care."

Paul Grabscheid, InterSystems’ vice president of strategic planning, said: “Now, physicians must access multiple systems to obtain patient information. However, using the InterSystems Ensemble rapid integration platform and Hayes’ design expertise, all patient information can be served to the clinical user via a single view.”

He added: “For executives, real-time dashboard information will allow them to make decisions proactively to optimise performance.”
